Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Scott Murray (ranked 4286 p4p, 2795 weight class) and Pete Roberts (ranked 440 p4p, 315 weight class). The key to victory for Scott Murray has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Scott Murray! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Pete Roberts! The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Colin Fotheringham and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Roberts scores with a takedown into Murray's guard. Murray keeping moving, preventing Roberts from controlling successfully. Roberts connects with a couple of short punches. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Roberts postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Roberts trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Roberts postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Roberts trying to control but Murray is working from the bottom. Roberts landing with the ground and pound. Roberts connects with a couple of short punches. Murray looking to control.
Roberts keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Murray's head. Roberts makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Murray is trying to control the position but Roberts postures up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Roberts chips away with some ground and pound. Roberts with a nice head shot there.
Murray is rocked! Roberts is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Roberts connects with a couple of short punches. Oh Murray is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Roberts pushes down on Murray's leg and manages to get into half guard. Murray seems to have got his legs back now. Roberts working Murray over with strikes. Roberts lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Nice strikes from Roberts there. Murray trying to control but Roberts postures up.
Murray is refusing to be controlled, as Roberts sits in half guard. Murray is breathing heavily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Roberts is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Roberts landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Roberts connects with a nice short shot to Murray's temple. Roberts with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Murray tries to get to full guard but Roberts has control of the leg. Murray has hold of Roberts's hands but Roberts slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Roberts working over Murray with some ground and pound. Murray looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Roberts looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Roberts lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Roberts is sitting in half guard. He's postured up and lands a nice elbow. Oh, Murray is hurt! He's hurt bad - Roberts fires away with more strikes and the referee jumps in to save Murray from any more punishment! Congratulations to Roberts! Great finish!
