The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Arvi Lind and Marco Blurström.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lemieux throws a head kick that misses.
We've been informed that Ihantala has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Ihantala misses with a looping left.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Ihantala, as that shot connected.
Lemieux looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Ihantala scores with the left hand. Lemieux knows he should have avoided that one.
Ihantala sends Lemieux crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Ihantala is motioning to the referee to let Lemieux up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
Lemieux is rocked!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
An inside leg kick lands from Ihantala.
Oh Lemieux is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Ihantala circles away from the clinch attempt
and Ihantala counters with a good low kick that Lemieux was not able to check.
Ihantala is stalking Lemieux. Lemieux circles to his left. Keeps circling left. Bam! Straight right from Ihantala, and it's lights out! Lemieux really payed the price for that rookie mistake.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Tali Ihantala!
Tali Ihantala decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
