Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Cornelius Myers (ranked 323 p4p, 741 weight class) and Bryant Smith (ranked 44 p4p, 99 weight class). Smith is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Television - Marquee Moon. Bryant Smith acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 13 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bryant Smith!
The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Ben Watson and John Mangel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Myers moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Myers blocks a leg kick.
Myers has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Smith changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Bryant Smith seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Myers uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Smith.

Myers tries to clinch there but Smith circles away.
Smith throws a series of punches but Myers moves out of range.
Myers dodges the punch combination from Smith.
It looked like Myers wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Myers throws the left hand but Smith avoids the punch easily.
Smith catches Myers with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Smith lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Myers thows a left - swing and a miss!
Smith is looking to score with low kicks.
Smith misses with a wild combination.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Myers darts in and clinches Smith up against the cage.

Myers swings wildly with an uppercut but Smith uses good head movement to avoid it.
Myers fails to pull guard.
Smith stalling in the clinch.
Smith wants to break free but Myers has control.
Smith is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Smith breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Smith looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Myers throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Smith throws a lazy right hand but Myers sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Smith throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Myers forces Smith back against the cage and clinches.
Nice body punch from Smith - that landed with a thud.
Smith pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Smith falls off balance throwing a combination
and Smith takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Myers steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Smith.
Smith has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Myers takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Myers doesn't manage to clinch there - Smith circles away.
Smith is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.
Myers slips a straight right by Smith.
Myers was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Smith pulls out of a head kick attempt.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Myers throws a push kick but Smith slaps the foot to one side.
Myers swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Smith.
Myers changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Myers walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Smith moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.

Smith scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Smith throws a right hand that misses
and Smith takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
A telegraphed right hand from Myers misses the target.
Myers has closed the distance and engaged Smith in a clinch.
Smith wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Myers can't find room to land a body shot as Smith controls the action.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Smith is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
A nice left hand lands by Myers.
Smith breaks the clinch.
Smith misses with a wild body shot.
Smith looks to land a combination but Myers avoids it well.
Smith misses with a head kick.
Myers moves into the clinch successfully.
Smith has had enough of the clinch but Myers keeps him there for the moment.
Myers ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Myers no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Smith got a little sloppy there for a moment and Myers has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Smith has managed to get both his arms back between Myers's legs - danger averted.
Smith not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Smith trying to stand up but can't free himself from Myers's guard.

Smith decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Myers, up you get!
Smith walks into a stiff left hand from Myers.
Smith moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Smith tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Myers was well out of range. Poor timing from Smith.
Smith throws a lazy uppercut
and Myers counters with a big right hand! Oh Smith is in trouble here! Myers follows up with more strikes and that's it! The ref has stopped it!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Cornelius Myers!
After winning the bout, Cornelius Myers thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
