Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Zaid Al Balushi (ranked 305 p4p, 403 weight class) and Lynton Miller (ranked 42 p4p, 55 weight class). Miller has chosen Tool - Sober as his entrance music. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 11 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Zaid Al Balushi! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 17 - 9 - 2, fighting out of Sydney, Lynton Miller! The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Francis DeMontford and Hugh Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Miller shoots for a takedown but Al Balushi saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Al Balushi ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Miller moves away. Lynton Miller seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Miller dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Al Balushi. That did some damage! Miller walks into a jab. We've been told by Al Balushi's head coaches at Tosen's Home for Lost Boys that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Miller closes the distance and clinches. Al Balushi tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Miller avoids it. Miller managing to block the knees to the body from Al Balushi.

Al Balushi lands an elbow just above Miller 's eye. A nice glancing elbow lands by Al Balushi. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Miller pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Al Balushi throws a shot to the body.

Al Balushi will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Al Balushi will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Miller up against the cage. Al Balushi lands with a short shot to the head. Al Balushi looks to throw an elbow but misses. Al Balushi tries a knee to the head but he's missed.

Miller moves into the clinch. Miller throws a punch but it's blocked by Al Balushi. Al Balushi with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Al Balushi misses with an elbow strike.

Miller throws a body punch but Al Balushi moves out of range. A slapping leg kick lands for Al Balushi.
Miller clinches up with Al Balushi and pushes him back against the cage. Miller lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. Al Balushi takes a shot to the head. Al Balushi throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Al Balushi lands an elbow inside that Miller shrugs off. Miller swings wildly with an uppercut but Al Balushi uses good head movement to avoid it. Miller misses with some punches.

That has opened up Lynton Miller's cut even more. Miller avoids a wild elbow strike from Al Balushi. Al Balushi lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Al Balushi landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Al Balushi throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Miller blocks it with crossed arms. Miller takes an elbow to the temple. Al Balushi trying to control the position but instead, Miller has worked for underhooks and has pushed Al Balushi into the cage. Al Balushi blocks a couple of punches on the inside.

Lynton Miller's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters. Al Balushi presses Miller against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot. Al Balushi is pressed up against the cage. Miller has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Al Balushi down to the mat. Al Balushi avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Al Balushi lands a lovely overhand right. Miller fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Al Balushi manages to avoid it. Al Balushi tried to counter with a leg kick but Miller avoided it. Zaid Al Balushi is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Al Balushi looks to score with a jab to the body but Miller is just out of range. Al Balushi lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Al Balushi slips a jab from Miller. Al Balushi appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick. Nice shot lands for Miller. Al Balushi steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Miller. Miller fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Al Balushi bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Miller loads up on a big right hand but Al Balushi slips the punch. Al Balushi is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Miller can do to turn this around? Miller throws a lazy uppercut
and Al Balushi counters with a good low kick that Miller was not able to check. Miller throws a hook but Al Balushi blocks it. Al Balushi throws a jab but it's blocked by Miller. Miller throws a combination that misses enabling Al Balushi to counter with a crisp jab. Miller is trying hard to land a takedown here. Al Balushi sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Al Balushi fires out a quick counter leg kick but Miller just manages to avoid it. Al Balushi moves into range and connects with a jab. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Miller misses with a takedown attempt - Al Balushi sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Miller takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Miller takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Miller scrambles back to his feet. Miller closes the distance and pushes Al Balushi back into the cage. Al Balushi lands a damaging elbow. Miller has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Al Balushi after a bit of a struggle. Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:16 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Zaid Al Balushi! After winning the bout, Zaid Al Balushi thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
