Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Konichiwa Jempsa (ranked 412 p4p, 751 weight class) and Antonio Barbosa (ranked 66 p4p, 114 weight class). Barbosa has chosen Eminem - Go to Sleep as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 23 - 12 - 0, fighting out of London, Konichiwa Jempsa!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Antonio Barbosa!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Albert Achterberg and Daniel Blasius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown attempt by Jempsa or perhaps it was just good defense by Barbosa, which made it look bad.
Jempsa shoots in for a takedown but Barbosa shows good takedown defense.
A punch lands to the side of Jempsa 's head but he takes it in his stride.

It looks like Konichiwa Jempsa has been cut.

Jempsa shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Barbosa napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Jempsa works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Jempsa goes for a double leg but Barbosa avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Barbosa continues to drive forward.

Jempsa throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Barbosa's waist but Barbosa gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Jempsa off to one side.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Konichiwa Jempsa.
