Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Anderson Silva (ranked 3370 p4p, 5867 weight class) and Rocky Balboa (ranked 443 p4p, 625 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Silva might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Face the Pain. Anderson Silva has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Rocky Balboa!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva circles away from the clinch attempt.
Balboa takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Balboa tries to clinch up but Silva circles away and keeps his distance.
Balboa wants to clinch.
Balboa tries to close the distance and clinch but Silva swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Balboa tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Silva paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Balboa just misses with a punch to the body.
Silva connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
The fight stays on the outside here - Balboa looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Silva.
Silva scores with a kick to the midsection.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Balboa is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
It appears Silva was looking to counter with a kick there.
Balboa throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Silva tries to bum rush Balboa with a series of wild strikes but Balboa uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Balboa tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Balboa drops his hands momentarily and Silva takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

and Silva counters with a series of strikes that sends Balboa to the canvas! Silva follows down into guard, looking to finish the fight!

Balboa is rocked!
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Silva stands and steps away. Balboa gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Balboa is still on wobbly legs! Can Silva finish him?
A head kick misses from Silva.
Balboa now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
Balboa tries to clinch up.
Silva fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops Balboa to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! Balboa looks to clinch but Silva throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! Balboa taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!
