Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between JR Jenkins (ranked 4257 p4p, 6139 weight class) and Olavi Korhonen (ranked 145 p4p, 176 weight class). Olavi Korhonen has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with JR Jenkins's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, JR Jenkins! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Olavi Korhonen! The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Kenichi Hosakawa and Yukihiro Shimada.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Korhonen. Korhonen shoots in for a double leg but Jenkins sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Jenkins gets a double leg takedown into Korhonen's guard. Korhonen preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Jenkins is stalling in the full guard. Jenkins throwing strikes from guard but Korhonen blocks nicely. Jenkins is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Korhonen looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jenkins trying to control the position from guard on top but Korhonen is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's one minute gone in the round. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Jenkins accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Jenkins looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Korhonen keeping moving, preventing Jenkins from controlling successfully. Jenkins got a little sloppy there for a moment and Korhonen has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Jenkins has managed to get both his arms back between Korhonen's legs - danger averted. Jenkins preventing the sweep. Jenkins stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Korhonen swivels though and keeps the full guard. Korhonen keeping moving, preventing Jenkins from controlling successfully.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Korhonen escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Jenkins gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Jenkins advances to half guard. Jenkins is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Jenkins drops an elbow to the side of Korhonen's head. Jenkins wants to lay and pray for a moment but Korhonen keeps working. Jenkins prevents Korhonen from improving his position. Jenkins trying to control the action but Korhonen is working from the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Korhonen blocking the ground and pound attempt from Jenkins. Jenkins is looking to take a break and control but Korhonen is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Jenkins knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Korhonen on the ground. Jenkins looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Korhonen moves into full guard.
Jenkins might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Jenkins postures up and lands a big shot to Korhonen's brow. Korhonen looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Korhonen lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. Korhonen wants to control from the top but Jenkins keeps moving. Korhonen stops Jenkins from standing up. We've been informed that Korhonen has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight. Korhonen thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Korhonen trying to control the position from guard on top but Jenkins is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Korhonen is stalling in the full guard. Korhonen pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Jenkins is keeping the position for now. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
JR Jenkins dominated that round. That's time! Jenkins's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Korhonen misses with a takedown attempt and Jenkins counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Korhonen wants to improve his position but Jenkins is controlling well.
Jenkins seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Korhonen does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Jenkins lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Jenkins prevents Korhonen from improving his position. Jenkins winds up and cracks Korhonen with a swinging punch to the side of the head. JR Jenkins overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Korhonen blocking the ground and pound attempt from Jenkins. Jenkins landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Jenkins working the head and body with strikes.
Korhonen is rocked! Jenkins creates some space for himself and unloads with a monster right hand! That one landed with a sickening thud - Korhonen is out cold and this one is all over! Jenkins climbs onto the cage to celebrate with his corner!! He's shouting something into the camera but he's still got his mouthpiece in so God knows what he's actually saying.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:56 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). JR Jenkins! JR Jenkins decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
