Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Danny Sullivan (ranked 6496 p4p, 24937 weight class) and Sss Sss (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sullivan's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, The Pogues - Streams of Whiskey. Sss Sss has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Danny Sullivan's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 4 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Danny Sullivan! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 5 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sss Sss! The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, John Kavanagh and Columbo Gatti.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sullivan throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Sss on the side of the head. Sullivan with a body punch. A glancing blow. Sss scores with a takedown into Sullivan's guard. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Sullivan is on top in guard.
Sullivan controls from within his opponent's guard. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Sss can do anything to dispel that myth. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Sullivan stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Sss swivels though and keeps the full guard. Sullivan's corner is telling him to maintain position.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Sss with a poor takedown and Sullivan counters with a left and a right that stings Sss. Sullivan fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Sss sprawls well initially but Sullivan persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Sullivan is looking for a kimura here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Sullivan wants to free his trapped foot but Sss is holding on for dear life with his legs. We've been hearing that Sullivan has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sullivan missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Sullivan controlling the pace. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Sss taking some punishment here, with Sullivan in his half guard. Sullivan is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Sss has managed to free his arm - good work. Sullivan thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Sullivan is looking to stand up but he'll have to free his leg first. Instead, Sss manages to get to full guard. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Sullivan has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Sss is proving hard to escape from. Sullivan sitting in guard here, content to control. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Danny Sullivan dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. Sss takes a body punch but keeps moving. Sullivan clinches up against the cage. Sss tries for a takedown. No joy.

Sullivan is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Sss is controlling him. Sullivan is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sullivan pulls Sss in close to his closed guard and prevents Sss from doing any damage or advancing position. Sullivan has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Sss must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Sullivan wants to get back to his feet but Sss is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Sss trying to control but Sullivan is working from the bottom. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Sullivan is striking from the bottom but Sss uses the opportunity to pass into half guard. Sullivan is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Sss's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Sss's back! Sss has his hands over his head blocking the strikes from Sullivan. Sullivan is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Sss can do to turn this around? Sullivan is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.
Sss is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sullivan lands with a nice looking elbow that stuns Sss.
Sullivan has his opponent trapped and is landing shots. Not a good position for Sss. Sullivan controlling from the back. Sss is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Sullivan gets his way!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Danny Sullivan! Danny Sullivan tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
