Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Smelvis Jeffries!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Sub Head!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Frank Dennis and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jeffries is looking to clinch but Head is avoiding it.
Jeffries moves out of the way of the counter high kick fromHead.

Head instigates a clinch.
Head drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Jeffries gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Head breaks the clinch.
Jeffries stuffs the takedown attempt from Head. Head gets slowly back to his feet.
Head uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Jeffries.
Head stuffs the takedown.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jeffries takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Head dives in and grabs Jeffries's left leg, looking for a takedown. Jeffries pushes down on Head's head and hops out.
Smelvis Jeffries has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sub Head.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Head.

Jeffries stuffs the takedown attempt from Head. Head gets slowly back to his feet.
Jeffries half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Jeffries tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Jeffries is trying hard to land a takedown here. Head sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Jeffries fails with an attempt to clinch.
Head fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Jeffries jabs Head to the body, keeping him at a distance.

Head has taken the fight to the clinch.

Jeffries controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Head trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.
Head throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.

It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Head looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Head.
Jeffries tries to counter by clinching up but Head breaks away and moves out of range.

Head has closed the distance and engaged Jeffries in a clinch.

Jeffries pulls guard successfully.
Head is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Jeffries avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Head controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

Head gets to his feet. Jeffries looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Jeffries is looking to clinch but Head is avoiding it.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Head keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Nice cross by Jeffries.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Sub Head will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.


Jeffries gets tackled into the cage by Head. Head maintains the clinch.
Head lands a nice elbow.
Jeffries misses with the head strike.
Jeffries is trying to break free.
Jeffries tries to stall but Head uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Jeffries tries to land knees in the clinch but Head avoids the damage to the body.
Head blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Head lands an elbow inside.

Head manages to pull guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Head tries to strike from the bottom.
Head trying to control the position.
Head has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Head is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Head is adopting a defensive guard.
Head throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
Head is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Jeffries throws a sloppy body shot
and Head counters with an inside leg kick.

Head clinches up with Jeffries and pushes him back against the cage.
Head has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Jeffries misses with a knee to the head.
A bit of stalling here from Head.
Head goes for a takedown in the clinch but Jeffries prevents it.

Head jumps into guard, dragging Jeffries to the mat.
Head seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Jeffries trying to control the position from guard on top but Head is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Head bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Jeffries's guard.

Jeffries keeping moving, preventing Head from controlling successfully.
Jeffries is trying to control the position but Head postures up.
Head stays in close to Jeffries's body and controls the position.
Head trying to control but Jeffries is working from the bottom.
Jeffries not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Jeffries is working an open guard so Head takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Head shoots in looking for a takedown but Jeffries manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Head's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Head throws a head kick but Jeffries moves out of range.
Jeffries slaps away a takedown attempt from Head, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Smelvis Jeffries has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sub Head.
Jeffries tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Head is able to avoid easily.
Head tries to score a power double leg takedown but Jeffries sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Head somewhat.
Head is breathing heavily.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Jeffries throws a head kick but Head moves out of range.
Nice jab there from Jeffries.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Sub Head showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!

Jeffries takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Head dives in and grabs Jeffries's left leg, looking for a takedown. Jeffries pushes down on Head's head and hops out.
Jeffries cracks Head with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Head fails with a takedown attempt.
Jeffries misses with a double jab.
Head is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.
Jeffries fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Head unleashes a big counter combination but Jeffries bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.

Head instigates a clinch.

Jeffries wants to control from the top but Head keeps moving.

Head manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Jeffries manages to get himself to full guard.


Jeffries is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Head sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Jeffries's guard.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Jeffries is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Head is figuring out what he wants to do next.

Head is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Jeffries reverses the position - he's now on top in Head's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Jeffries avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Jeffries being controlled here momentarily.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Head is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Jeffries is aware though and is defending well.

Jeffries has gone for a leg lock! Head slips out almost immediately though and dives into Jeffries's guard.

Head controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Head decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Jeffries lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Head circles away quickly and effectively.
Head throws a nice inside leg kick.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Jeffries misses with a body shot.
Head looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Jeffries is fending him off so far but Head persists. Nope, Jeffries circles away and we're back to standing.
Smelvis Jeffries has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sub Head.
Sloppy strikes from Jeffries. Those never looked like landing.
Head swats away the attempt to clinch by Jeffries.
Head connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.

Head has Jeffries up against the cage in a clinch.

Head pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Jeffries shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Head as he avoids it easily.
Smelvis Jeffries has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Sub Head is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Head blocks a jab.

And that's the end of the fight!
Sub Head comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Head winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
