Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Shepherd Bushiri (ranked 3869 p4p, 2052 weight class) and Robert Frost (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Frost's choice of entrance music: SETH ECT - B.L.A.S.T. This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Hilo, Shepherd Bushiri!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 8 - 0, fighting out of New York, Robert Frost!
The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Colin Fray and Josh West.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bushiri fails to land the takedown.

Bushiri has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Frost throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Bushiri blocks it with crossed arms.

Bushiri's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

It looked like Bushiri was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Frost.

Bushiri closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Frost takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

Frost manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Frost wants to improve his position but Bushiri is controlling well.

That was a close round but I would say that Shepherd Bushiri will probably get the nod.
