Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dmitriy Nad (ranked 4522 p4p, 4297 weight class) and Mark Hughes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Dmitriy Nad! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mark Hughes! The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Dmitry Maklakov and Illya Tyunina.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nad checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. Nad clinches up against the cage. Hughes jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Nad walks away with a smile on his face. Hughes gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Hughes shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Hughes showed some decent athleticism there. Nad is trying to maintain the position but Hughes is very close to passing his half guard. Nad is looking for a sweep. Hughes is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hughes lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Hughes stalling. Hughes has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Nad makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Nad.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nad pulls Hughes in close to prevent any damage. Nad wants to sweep here but Hughes controlling him for the moment. Hughes wanted to stand there but Nad had control of the position. Nad can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Hughes controls the pace. The referee is pacing around the two fighters, thinking about a standup.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Hughes wants to control from the top but Nad keeps moving.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Hughes tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Nad paws at him with a jab and circles away. Hughes lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Nad circles away quickly and effectively. Hughes throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Nad's waist but Nad gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Hughes off to one side. Hughes looks to land a combination but Nad avoids it well. Nad closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Hughes to the mat! Hughes manages to get full guard. Nad postures up.
Nad trying to control but Hughes is working from the bottom. Hughes isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Nad stacks Hughes on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Nad! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hughes wants to control but Nad postures up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hughes is looking for a sweep. Nad in side control, throwing shots but Hughes defends. Hughes is trying to get back to half guard. Nad tries for a kimura but Hughes is defending well. Hughes struggling a bit here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Hughes trying his best to control but Nad has mounted him. Hughes tries to hold on but Nad postures up. Hughes is trying desperately to improve position. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Nad avoids the attempt from Hughes to control. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Dmitriy Nad dominated that round. That's time! Nad's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Hughes rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Nad moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Nad attempts a counter takedown but Hughes avoids it well and moves away. Nad looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Hughes! Hughes is trying to control Nad's posture but Nad avoids it. Nad wants to lay and pray for a moment but Hughes keeps working. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Nad wants to stand but Hughes is controlling his arm.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nad wants to control but Hughes is keeping him busy. Nad wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Hughes, who protects the arm well. Hughes manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Nad won't allow Hughes to pass to mount. Nad is trying to get back to full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hughes tries to pass to full mount but Nad defends it. Nad wants to control but Hughes is keeping busy and won't allow it. Nad is looking for a sweep. Hughes is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Nad wants to get back to his feet. Hughes with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Hughes tries to stand but can't do so whilst Nad controls his leg. Nad has hold of Hughes's hands but Hughes slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nad is refusing to be controlled, as Hughes sits in half guard. Hughes is stalling here. Nad is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Hughes seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Nad has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Nad wants to stand but Hughes is controlling his arm. Hughes struggling a bit here. Nad wants to lay and pray for a moment but Hughes keeps working. Hughes is trying to control Nad's posture but Nad avoids it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hughes is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Nad off and has taken his back! Hughes has good solid back control here. Dmitriy Nad overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Hughes is hanging on to Nad's back as he tries to escape.
Hughes is trying to stick to Nad's back but Nad is turning into Hughes. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Hughes's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Nad. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Hughes working for submissions but it's allowed Nad to get to half guard.
Hughes is looking to improve his position.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Mark Hughes will probably get the nod - 10:9. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Hughes drives through with a takedown into Nad's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Hughes postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Hughes is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Hughes pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Nad is keeping the position for now. Hughes trying to control but Nad is working from the bottom. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Nad is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Hughes is controlling him. Nad trying to strike off his back.

It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Hughes throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Nad works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Horrible takedown attempt by Nad or perhaps it was just good defense by Hughes, which made it look bad. Hughes closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Nad did well to prevent Hughes getting side control. Nad tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Hughes has advanced to mount. Uh oh. Hughes is in the full mount, landing strikes.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hughes trying to control but he's not successful this time. Hughes might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Nad haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Nad is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Hughes looking to control but Nad is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Hughes looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hughes tries to control but Nad wriggling away. Nad keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Hughes lands a nice shot to the head. Nad wants to control but Hughes is having none of it. Hughes scores with a couple of good head shots there.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Nad tries to lock up and control but Hughes gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Hughes lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Nad is trying to escape the mount.
Hughes tries to control but Nad wriggling away. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Hughes controlling his opponent.
And that's the end of the fight! Mark Hughes comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Hughes has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
