Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Willy Johnson (ranked 4365 p4p, 4484 weight class) and Jamar Afar (ranked 0 p4p, 487 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Willy Johnson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jamar Afar! The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Hirohito Nitta and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Johnson slaps away a takedown attempt from Afar, before circling back to the center of the mat. Johnson is looking for a counter combo. Johnson connects with a jab. Afar takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Horrible takedown attempt by Afar or perhaps it was just good defense by Johnson, which made it look bad. Johnson leaves Afar with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Willy Johnson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jamar Afar. Afar with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Johnson to score with a decent uppercut. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Afar is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Johnson gets caught napping as Afar dives in and scores a takedown. Johnson manages to retain guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Afar is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Johnson is looking to stand up but Afar isn't so interested in that idea.
That's one minute gone in the round. Afar postures up.
Afar working some strikes from top position. Johnson is trying to control the position but Afar postures up. Johnson looking for a sweep. Not yet Johnson, not yet. Johnson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Afar on the ground. Johnson trying to keep a closed guard but Afar is proving a slippery customer.
Afar slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Johnson wants to hit a sweep here but Afar passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Johnson there!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Johnson tries to hold on but Afar postures up. Afar looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. Johnson really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Afar can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Johnson is looking to escape. Afar raining down shots from the mount!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Afar lands with some strikes. Afar content just to control the position here. Afar is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Johnson can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Afar controlling the pace for now.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Afar trying to control but Johnson is having none of it. Johnson wants to control but Afar is having none of it. Afar trying to control but he's not successful this time. Johnson is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Afar trying to control but Johnson is having none of it. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Jamar Afar dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Afar tries a head kick but it misses.
Afar bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Afar has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Afar trying to control the position but Johnson is working away. Johnson looks to move to half guard but instead Afar has passed into mount! Damn! Afar can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Johnson is looking to escape. Afar breaks from Johnson's wrist control and lands an elbow. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Johnson is bucking up trying to escape but Afar cracks him with another couple of good strikes. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Afar tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Afar trying to control but Johnson is having none of it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Afar content just to control the position here. Afar cracks Johnson with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Afar controlling from mount. Johnson is trying to reverse the position but instead Afar has taken his back - oops! Afar working from the back looking to end the fight with a rear naked choke. Johnson is doing well to defend. Afar seems to have got his hand under the chin though and he's sunk the choke in! Johnson is forced to tap and this one is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:56 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Jamar Afar!
