Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Israel Okoye (ranked 2302 p4p, 3043 weight class) and Adan Puno (ranked 281 p4p, 378 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Israel Okoye has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Israel Okoye seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Adan Puno!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, Chris Edwards and Paul Tew.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Puno fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Okoye manages to avoid it.
An inside leg kick from Okoye misses.
Okoye throws a jab when Puno was well out of range.
Okoye backing away here, and Puno unleashes a leg kick that just misses.
Puno connects with a solid leg kick.

Puno takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
It looks like Adan Puno has been cut.
Puno lands a glancing blow to the side of Okoye's head.
It looks like Israel Okoye has been cut.
Okoye clinches with his opponent.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Okoye jumps into guard, dragging Puno to the mat.
Okoye manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Puno manages to get himself to full guard.

Okoye slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Okoye wants to control from the top but Puno keeps moving.
Okoye not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Okoye trying to control the position from guard on top but Puno is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Okoye content to stall in guard here.
Okoye has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Okoye sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Puno's guard.
Okoye wants to control but Puno is keeping him busy.
Okoye tries to pass to full mount but Puno defends it.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Okoye wants to lay and pray for a moment but Puno keeps working.
Okoye keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
A shot to the body from Okoye misses
and Puno counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Puno throws a leg kick
and Okoye counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Okoye shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
enabling Puno to counter with a crisp jab.
Israel Okoye seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Puno closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Okoye! Puno dives in looking to finish! Okoye is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!
