Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Micah Minnich (ranked 5074 p4p, 5247 weight class) and Jasan Romero (ranked 584 p4p, 602 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Micah Minnich!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jasan Romero!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Daniel Bishop and James Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Romero scores with a takedown into Minnich's guard.
Minnich looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Romero wants to control but Minnich is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Minnich pulls Romero in close to prevent any damage.
Romero passes Minnich's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Minnich tries to get to full guard but Romero has control of the leg.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Minnich is looking to control Romero's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Minnich avoid being mounted?
Minnich on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Minnich tries to get out of the position.

Minnich will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Romero got a little sloppy there for a moment and Minnich has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Romero has managed to get both his arms back between Minnich's legs - danger averted.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Minnich wants to sweep but no luck.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Minnich is adopting a defensive guard.

Minnich had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Romero defends it easily.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!

Romero swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Romero unleashes a big counter combination but Minnich bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Jasan Romero is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Minnich ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Romero moves away.
Romero tries to clinch but Minnich is having none of it.

Romero rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Minnich moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Minnich throws a good cross that connects.

and Minnich counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Romero thinking.

Minnich lands a nice shot to the body.
Romero is breathing heavily.
Minnich throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Minnich throws out a powerful jab.
I'm just looking down at my notes here and I see that.... oh! Minnich has cracked Romero with a big right, followed by a left! He's out on his feet! Minnich lands another huge swinging hook and Romero tumbles to the canvas! The ref dives in to save Romero, before Minnich can land any more shots!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:24 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Micah Minnich!
An out of breath Micah Minnich thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
