The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Adesanya shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Adesanya lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
It looks like David Morrell Jr has been cut.
Morrell Jr tries to roll over but Adesanya keeps him under control.
Adesanya scoring with strikes to the body and head.
Morrell Jr is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Adesanya scores with a couple of nice shots.
That has opened up David Morrell Jr's cut even more.
Adesanya has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Adesanya seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
David Morrell Jr's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
