Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lu Rong (ranked 4615 p4p, 4823 weight class) and Luca Yonic (ranked 144 p4p, 100 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice uppercut there from Yonic.
Yonic delivers a nice body kick.

and Rong counters with a nice uppercut.
Yonic dips to his left and cracks Rong with an uppercut!
Yonic throws out a leg kick but Rong moves out of range and Yonic only half commits.

A little feinted left hand from Rong on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.

Yonic ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Rong moves away.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Rong stays in close to Yonic's body and controls the position.
Rong is looking to pass into half guard but Yonic pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Yonic is in guard.

Yonic stands and throws Rong's legs to the side, diving into side control.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Rong tries to bench press Yonic off him but Yonic keeps the position.
Yonic is looking to take a break and control but Rong is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Yonic really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Rong. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Yonic fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Rong on the side of the head.
Rong walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Yonic throws a body kick that misses.
A little feinted left hand from Rong on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Rong shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Yonic manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rong takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Rong's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Rong is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Yonic has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Yonic!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Yonic wants to get up but he can't break Rong's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Rong in particular looking to stall.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Rong goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Yonic is on top in guard.

Rong is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Yonic defends well.

Luca Yonic is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Yonic wants to stand but his hand is trapped. Rong uses the opportunity to regain full guard.
Rong bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Yonic's guard.
