Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between DeShaun Holton Jr (ranked 494 p4p, 468 weight class) and Vinicius Kicklighter (ranked 73 p4p, 70 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Holton Jr might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to D12 - Purple Hills. This should be a great matchup!

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Vinicius Kicklighter!
The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Reed Andrews and Lou da Vinci.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kicklighter on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Kicklighter throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Holton Jr stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Holton Jr throws a body punch but Kicklighter moves out of range.
Holton Jr lands with a hook. Kicklighter tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Holton Jr fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.

It looks like Vinicius Kicklighter has been cut.
Kicklighter misses the jab.
Kicklighter cracks Holton Jr with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

It looks like DeShaun Holton Jr has been cut.
Kicklighter throws a shot from downtown. Holton Jr moves away and avoids it.
Kicklighter throws a low kick but Holton Jr moves out of range easily.
Holton Jr rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Kicklighter counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Kicklighter swings away with a body shot that misses
and Kicklighter takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Kicklighter has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Holton Jr cracks a nice hook into Kicklighter's ribs.

Kicklighter takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Kicklighter throws a shot from downtown. Holton Jr moves away and avoids it.
Holton Jr misses with a body shot.
Holton Jr throws a sloppy body shot
and Kicklighter counters with a nice uppercut.
Holton Jr looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Kicklighter fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Holton Jr on the side of the head.
A decent looking cross lands there for Holton Jr.
Kicklighter swings for the body but Holton Jr moves out of range.
Holton Jr uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Kicklighter.
Holton Jr looks to score with a jab to the body but Kicklighter is just out of range.
Kicklighter ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Holton Jr scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Holton Jr scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Kicklighter swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Holton Jr is looking to counter punch.

Holton Jr feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Kicklighter sprawling to the canvas! Kicklighter rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Holton Jr finish him?!

Kicklighter is rocked!

That has opened up Vinicius Kicklighter's cut even more.
Kicklighter misses with a straight right.
Holton Jr walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Kicklighter drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Holton Jr swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Kicklighter's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!
