Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Commie Hunter (ranked 919 p4p, 1088 weight class) and Dimitri Svyatogor (ranked 23 p4p, 28 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Svyatogor creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.
Hunter with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Svyatogor lands an elbow that stopped Hunter in his tracks for a moment.

It looks like Commie Hunter has been cut.

We've been informed that Svyatogor has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

Hunter connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Svyatogor momentarily.
Svyatogor fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Hunter looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Hunter connects with a nice looking jab.
Hunter lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Svyatogor closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Hunter! Svyatogor dives in looking to finish! Hunter is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!
