Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Verneri Ahma (ranked 187 p4p, 400 weight class) and Phillip Terrell (ranked 27 p4p, 55 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ahma tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Terrell was well out of range. Poor timing from Ahma.
Ahma has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Terrell tries to move into range but Ahma moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Ahma tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Terrell manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Terrell connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Ahma's hands.

Phillip Terrell seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Ahma changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Terrell looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Ahma postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked Terrell badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of Ahma around the waist but Ahma pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Ahma is the winner by TKO! Ahma jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"
