Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Pooey Cheung (ranked 3217 p4p, 4279 weight class) and Strange Brew (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Strange Brew told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Pooey Cheung !
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Strange Brew!
The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Paul Gruel and Ryoma Takatsuka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cheung throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Brew was covering up waiting for the punch and Cheung finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Brew has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Cheung is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.
Cheung turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
Cheung wants to control but Brew is keeping him busy.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Cheung throwing shots but missing, from side control.
Brew should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Cheung is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Brew has escaped the position, nice work there.
Cheung looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Brew is avoiding damage well.
Cheung wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Brew, who protects the arm well.
Cheung thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Brew can't do much from the bottom here.

Cheung tries for a kimura but Brew is defending well.
Cheung is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Brew is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Cheung tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Cheung has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Cheung lands an elbow.
Brew holds on tight, trying to prevent any damage.
Brew tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Cheung wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Brew wants to control but Cheung postures up.
Cheung advances nicely into full mount.
Brew is wriggling around trying to escape.
Brew is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Cheung with shots to the head and body - Brew looks very uncomfortable down there.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Cheung is working for a guillotine from mount but Brew frees his head quite easily.
Cheung looking to secure an arm triangle but Brew defends it well.

Brew wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.

Cheung working for a submission here. He's tucked his head under his opponent's arm, looking for an arm triangle. He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Brew looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Cheung ! Submission of the night perhaps?
