Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Isidro Alvarado (ranked 4817 p4p, 4881 weight class) and Andre Redd (ranked 0 p4p, 517 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Isidro Alvarado! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Andre Redd! The judges for this bout are Percy O'Donnell, Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Alvarado throws the kick towards the body but Redd avoids it. Redd jabs at Alvarado's body. Alvarado tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Alvarado is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Redd's half guard. Alvarado wants to pass to mount but Redd is defending the position. Redd tries to get to full guard but Alvarado has control of the leg. Alvarado takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Alvarado lands strikes from half guard. Alvarado controlling the action here. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Redd really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Alvarado. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Alvarado postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Redd to stand up. Alvarado shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Alvarado seems to be working for a kimura but Redd defends the submission attempt.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Redd won't allow Alvarado to pass to mount. Alvarado controlling the action here. Alvarado's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Redd looking for submissions off his back. Alvarado performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Redd wants to get back to full guard. Alvarado working over Redd with some ground and pound. Redd looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Alvarado postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Redd to stand up. Alvarado gets in close and instigates a clinch. Alvarado breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Redd fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Alvarado avoids it really well and circles away. Alvarado rushes Redd and presses him up against the cage. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Redd looking to slow down the pace here. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Isidro Alvarado dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Alvarado closes the distance and clinches. Alvarado has Redd pressed against the cage, preventing Redd from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Alvarado ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Alvarado no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Redd is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Alvarado has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Redd is looking to defend but Alvarado has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Redd! Alvarado pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Redd taps out and this one is all over!
