Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, John Lydon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Phuc Tran!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lydon throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Tran.
Lydon has taken the fight to the clinch.
Tran tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Lydon lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Lydon is figuring out what he wants to do next.

Lydon working over Tran with some ground and pound. Tran looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Tran has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Lydon is working away from the top position though.
Tran is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Lydon's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Lydon's back!

Tran wants to control but Lydon is keeping busy.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Lydon looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.
Lydon is trying to get back to his feet but Tran has full control of the position and if anything, Lydon has just worked his way into a worse spot.
Tran is cranking Lydon's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for Lydon! He's tightened the choke and Lydon is tapping out!
