Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 1 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Daniel McBrowner! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Elvis Stormberg! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Daniel Franklin and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Stormberg closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. McBrowner is looking to regain half guard here but Stormberg keeps moving and retains side control. Stormberg is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. McBrowner manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. McBrowner is trying to get back to full guard. Stormberg keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. McBrowner is looking to improve his position.
McBrowner is pressing down on Stormberg's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. McBrowner lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. Stormberg wants to sweep but no luck. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Stormberg can do anything to dispel that myth. McBrowner stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Stormberg swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. McBrowner is working hard here to advance position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. McBrowner pushes down on Stormberg's leg and manages to get into half guard. McBrowner tries to pass to full mount but Stormberg defends it. Stormberg trying to control from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. McBrowner trying to mount his opponent but Stormberg defends it. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
That's two minutes gone in the round. McBrowner looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Stormberg holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now. Stormberg is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but McBrowner pulls his head out easily. And that's the end of the fight! Daniel McBrowner showed his dominance in that final round. Well McBrowner has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
