Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Flavio Ruas!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Thiago Cortes!
The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, James Glass and James Atkins.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cortes loads up on a big right hand but Ruas slips the punch.
Cortes connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Ruas's hands.
Cortes connects with an inside leg kick.
Cortes on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Cortes with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Ruas to score with a decent uppercut.
Cortes attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Ruas lands a nice shot that snaps Cortes's head back.
Cortes is rocked!
Cortes keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Ruas.
Cortes is still on wobbly legs! Can Ruas finish him?
Ruas uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Cortes.
Cortes throws a hook but Ruas blocks it.
Cortes seems to have recovered his senses.
Cortes throws a half hearted mid kick.
Ruas staggers Cortes with a jab and knocks him down with a follow up straight! Cortes looks in trouble, will he beat the count?! The count has reached 5 and he's only back to 1 knee - it's going to be close! 6,7,8 - he's up! No! He's back down again! 9...10 - he's can't beat the count and Ruas is victorious!
