Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between John Aldo (ranked 4314 p4p, 2807 weight class) and Tim Orsetti (ranked 504 p4p, 350 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, John Aldo! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tim Orsetti! The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Yves DeLean and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Orsetti tests Aldo's chin there with a solid looking shot.
It looks like John Aldo has been cut. Orsetti fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. A left and a right from Orsetti both land. Nice combination. Orsetti scores with a punch to the head. Oooh a lovely combination from Orsetti sends Aldo down but not out. Orsetti dives into side control looking to finish.
Aldo is rocked! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Orsetti creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Aldo sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Orsetti is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Aldo has escaped the position, nice work there. Aldo is pushing Orsetti's head away, looking to escape. Orsetti manages to hold on to the position though. Aldo stops Orsetti from passing to mount. Aldo is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Orsetti asserts his dominance and retains side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Orsetti tries to advance to mount but Aldo denies him. Orsetti wants to control but Aldo is keeping him busy. Orsetti swings around for an armbar but Aldo sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Orsetti's guard. Orsetti is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Aldo wants to get back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Orsetti is trying to work for a kimura but Aldo is defending well.

Orsetti is working for a kimura from half guard. He's really concentrating on the hold and it's allowed Aldo to slip a leg under and get back to full guard. Orsetti looking to pass the guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Orsetti wants to control from the top but Aldo keeps moving. Orsetti is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Orsetti postures up in Aldo's guard and throws a big left but Aldo blocks it. Orsetti tries to free his leg and advance position but Aldo is retaining full guard. Aldo on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Aldo tries to get out of the position. Orsetti trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Orsetti missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Aldo keeping full guard, as Orsetti tries to pass. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Orsetti throws a big right hand that misses.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Orsetti prevents Aldo from getting back to his feet. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Orsetti dips to his left and cracks Aldo with an uppercut!
John Aldo's cut is getting worse. Aldo on the wrong end of a nice hook. Orsetti looks to land a combination but Aldo avoids it well. Aldo feinted with a counter takedown. Orsetti scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Aldo really is a fat lump. Orsetti lands a two punch combo.

John Aldo's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it. Orsetti scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Tim Orsetti dominated that round. The cut man is working on John Aldo's cut. That's time! Aldo's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Orsetti connects with a single shot there. Orsetti throws a combination that misses and Aldo counters with a single leg into guard. Orsetti didn't expect that. Aldo might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Aldo engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Orsetti is a very stocky fighter. Infact he's such a weird shape that he's almost like some sort of comedy character - it's hard to believe he's real. Aldo throws an elbow that misses. Orsetti uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Aldo's guard. Nice move by Orsetti!
Orsetti has gone for a leg lock! Aldo slips out almost immediately though and dives into Orsetti's guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Aldo trying to control the position from guard on top but Orsetti is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Tim Orsetti has got the better of the ground game so far. Orsetti is trying to keep Aldo in close.

Orsetti is looking for a sweep. Aldo is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Orsetti is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Aldo working Orsetti over with strikes.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Aldo drops an elbow to the side of Orsetti's head. Orsetti taking some punishment here, with Aldo in his half guard. Orsetti looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Aldo takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Orsetti has hold of Aldo's hands but Aldo slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Orsetti wants to control but Aldo passes into side.
Orsetti gets back to half guard. Aldo is looking to take a break and control but Orsetti is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Orsetti is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Aldo pulls his head out easily. Orsetti makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Orsetti. Aldo trying to control but Orsetti is working from the bottom. Aldo is in close to Orsetti's body, working some short punches and elbows. Aldo slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Aldo throws a strike but Orsetti rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Aldo wants to stand up but Orsetti is controlling him. Orsetti is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Aldo is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Aldo has escaped and now he's on top! Aldo slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Orsetti looking for a guillotine here but Aldo defends easily.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Orsetti being controlled here, momentarily. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
John Aldo dominated that second round. The cut man is working on John Aldo's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards. Aldo takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Orsetti connects with a nice looking jab.
A decent looking cross lands there for Orsetti. Orsetti lands a jab to the head.
Orsetti has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Orsetti lunges at Aldo with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Aldo's hand. Aldo tries to move into range but Orsetti moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A shot to the liver by Orsetti. Beautiful body shot. Orsetti comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Aldo on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Orsetti has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
That's one minute gone in the round. Orsetti throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Orsetti jabs at Aldo's body. A jab from Orsetti does it's job there. Orsetti scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
John Aldo is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Orsetti ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Orsetti lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Aldo takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Orsetti scores with a three punch combo!
Jeez, John Aldo's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Jab from Orsetti. Orsetti lands a jab followed by a vicious hook that sends Aldo sprawling to the canvas. Orsetti follows him down, looking for the kill. Can Aldo hang on? Oh Aldo is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
The referee calls the doctor in to look at John Aldo's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:20 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Tim Orsetti! Our winner, Tim Orsetti, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
