The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oliveira avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Oliveira is looking for the big counter here.
Smolarek changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Oliveira looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Smolarek looks up at the clock and then as Oliveira takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Smolarek smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
