Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, James Baxter! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Joesph Matens! The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Reed Andrews and Franklyn Lucas.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Matens feints and as Baxter raises his hands in defense, Matens changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Matens advances position into side control! Matens decides to take the fight back to the feet. Matens takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Baxter gets caught napping as Matens dives in and scores a takedown. Baxter manages to retain guard. Baxter is looking to stand back up but Matens counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Baxter.
Matens is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Baxter is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
