Kurt Cobain will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Maximus Furioto!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kurt Cobain!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, Phil Schofield and Richard Clark.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Furioto gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
letting Cobain counter with a right hand.

Furioto closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Cobain's guard.
Furioto throws a big elbow that misses.
Cobain bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Furioto's guard.

Cobain tries to free his leg and advance position but Furioto is retaining full guard.
Cobain must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Furioto working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Cobain doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Cobain manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Furioto keeping moving, preventing Cobain from controlling successfully.
Cobain might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Furioto haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Furioto is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Cobain defends well.

Furioto looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Furioto can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Cobain controls the pace.
We've been hearing good reports from Furioto's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Furioto looking for a triangle here. Cobain is fighting it but it looks tight! Furioto pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Cobain is tapping out - this one is all over!
