The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alvarado closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Alvarado lands a knee to the body.
McAlroy swings wildly with an uppercut but Alvarado uses good head movement to avoid it.
McAlroy goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
McAlroy blocking some punches.
Alvarado lands a takedown into guard.
Alvarado gets to his feet - McAlroy follows without any prompting.
McAlroy looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Alvarado misses the shot to the body.
McAlroy dodges the punch combination from Alvarado.
McAlroy fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Alvarado shoots in and drives through. McAlroy sprawls well.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
McAlroy lands a big right hand and follows it up with an uppercut. Oh and another big punch and a knee - Alvarado can't take much more of this! Another big shot to the jaw from McAlroy and Alvarado drops to the floor. Beaten and bloodied - he had enough there. A vicious beatdown by McAlroy.
