The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lima moves forwards but Pulver connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Pulver throws a sloppy head kick and Lima moves out of range easily.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Pulver creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.
Lima tries to stall but Pulver uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Pulver misses with a punch to the body.
Lima tries to pull guard but Pulver won't allow it.
Lima is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Pulver to keep the fight standing.
A head punch on the inside from Lima fails to land.
Lima takes a knee to the side of the body.
Pulver misses with an elbow strike.
Lima stalling against the cage.
Pulver's coach down at Old Irish’s Fighter Factory was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Pulver's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Pulver lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.
Lima on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.

Pulver misses with an elbow over the top.
Lima is trying to pull guard but Pulver has him pressed against the cage.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Paulo Lima. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Lima ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Lima no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Pulver must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Lima has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Pulver should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Lima has tightened it up now! Pulver should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
