The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rousey shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Chan is trying to defend but Rousey finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Rousey lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Rousey lands strikes from half guard.
Rousey looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Chan with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Rousey drops an elbow to the side of Chan's head.
Rousey is stalling here. Chan is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Rousey seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Chan has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
Rousey is looking to regain half guard here but Chan keeps moving and retains side control.
Chan trying to control the action but Rousey is working from the bottom.
Rousey pushes Chan away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Chan gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Chan wants to control but Rousey is keeping him busy.
Rousey is looking for a sweep.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Chan is looking to take a break and control but Rousey is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Rousey is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Chan's leg. Oh but that's left an opportunity for Chan! He's got an arm triangle... it looks tight! He's rotating and Rousey has tapped! This one is allllll over!
