The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Percy O'Donnell and Jack Bonds.


The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way.

Savkov working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Diaz doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Diaz manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Savkov has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Diaz can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Savkov has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Diaz is working away from the top position though.

Savkov is controlling an arm, preventing Diaz from taking his back. Although keeping him in mount is no better to be honest.
Diaz is working hard here to advance position.

Savkov is working to get back to half guard.
Diaz can't control as he wanted to and Savkov manages to get the fight back to his half guard.

Diaz wants to lay and pray for a moment but Savkov keeps working.
Savkov is looking to control Diaz's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Savkov avoid being mounted?

Diaz is taking a breather. Savkov says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Savkov has his hands clasped together around Diaz's back. He's all about the action.

Diaz takes the fight on points by 5 to 3.
A less than humble Dick Diaz misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
