This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the light heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Montreal, with a TWGC record of 15 wins and 11 losses; Frank Andersson! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Montreal, with a TWGC record of 30 wins and 14 losses; Joe Average! The judges for this bout are Percy O'Donnell, Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.
The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Andersson shoots for a double leg takedown but Average sprawls well. He's pushed Andersson's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Average closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Score +2 for takedown into guard / half guard: Andersson (0) vs (2) Average Andersson works his way to full guard. Good work. Average is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Andersson is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Average is just riding it out for now. Andersson eventually gives up the hold. Average gets back to full guard.

And that's the end of the fight! Andersson takes the fight on points by 14 to 12. Frank Andersson spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant. |
