Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Andy Shearer (ranked 5346 p4p, 6318 weight class) and Kai Svenson (ranked 562 p4p, 622 weight class). Kai Svenson looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Andy Shearer! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Kai Svenson! The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Vladimir Khabensky and Ivan Kurochkin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Both fighters are only really looking to counter, so after a good 30 seconds of circling each other endlessly, the referee has stepped in and told them both to be more aggressive. Svenson shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Svenson looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Shearer ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Svenson shoots in but Shearer avoids the takedown attempt easily. Shearer half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
That's one minute gone in the round. Shearer lands with an uppercut that bounces Svenson off the ropes and back into range.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Shearer scores with a shot to the body.
Svenson tries to score a power double leg takedown but Shearer sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Svenson somewhat. Andy Shearer has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kai Svenson.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Shearer lands a lovely overhand right. Svenson darts in looking for a takedown but Shearer gets double underhooks and turns Svenson into the ropes. Shearer appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Svenson tries for a takedown but Shearer sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Shearer appears to be looking for a counter takedown. Shearer comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Svenson ducks right into an uppercut from Shearer. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Shearer lands a nice hook to Svenson's body. Svenson takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Andy Shearer dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Svenson is trying hard to land a takedown here. Shearer sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Shearer attempts a counter takedown but Svenson avoids it well and moves away. Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with each other but Svenson might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Shearer has got the better of the exchanges. Svenson takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Shearer thuds his right hand into Svenson's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Svenson changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Shearer tries to avoid it but Svenson manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Shearer to the ground. Shearer escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Shearer drops down looking for a counter takedown but Svenson sprawls and moves away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Shearer defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Svenson. Andy Shearer has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kai Svenson. Shearer scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Shearer feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Svensons jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Svenson takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Shearer looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.

Shearer sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Shearer tries to counter with a takedown but Svenson is quick to defend against it. Shearer stuns Svenson with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Svenson takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

Shearer swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Svenson. Andy Shearer is winning the standup battle so far. Shearer leaves Svenson with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Shearer half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Svenson gets cracked there but stands up to it.
