Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kenichi Misahawa (ranked 2369 p4p, 3843 weight class) and Griffith Femto (ranked 307 p4p, 477 weight class). Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Griffith Femto enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 11 - 13 - 1, fighting out of London, Kenichi Misahawa! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Griffith Femto! The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, John Roberts and Jorge Garcia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Femto closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Misahawa did well to prevent Femto getting side control. Misahawa has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Femto is working away from the top position though. Femto throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Femto wants to control but Misahawa is keeping him busy. Femto missing with the ground and pound from half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Femto throwing shots but Misahawa is blocking nicely. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Femto is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Femto lands strikes from half guard. Femto throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Misahawa on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Misahawa tries to get out of the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Femto stops Misahawa from getting back to his feet.

Femto looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Femto scoring with strikes to the body and head. Femto is thwarting Misahawa's attempts to control the position. Femto working the head and body with strikes. Misahawa keeping hold of Femto's head, controlling as best he can. Misahawa is looking to control Femto's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Misahawa avoid being mounted? Femto throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Misahawa is not content to let Femto control the position. Misahawa avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Femto. Misahawa keeping control of the position. Femto not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Misahawa wants to get back to his feet. Femto seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Femto working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Femto winds up and cracks Misahawa with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Femto is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Misahawa is just riding it out for now. Femto eventually gives up the hold. Misahawa is trying to stand up here but Femto is controlling him well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Misahawa keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Femto is trying to control the action in half guard but Misahawa is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Femto throwing shots but Misahawa is blocking nicely. Femto is trying to control. Misahawa wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Misahawa keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Femto looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Misahawa with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Misahawa looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Femto is looking for a kimura here.

Femto passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Misahawa! The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Femto can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Misahawa is looking to escape. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Griffith Femto dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Femto on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Femto has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Femto shoots for a takedown but Misahawa saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. No luck with that takedown attempt from Femto. Misahawa appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body. Misahawa swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Femto. Misahawa throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Femto shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Misahawa pinned against the cage. Misahawa gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Kenichi Misahawa has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Griffith Femto. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Femto shoots in for a takedown but Misahawa shows good takedown defense. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Femto. Misahawa jabs at Femto's body.
That's one minute gone in the round. Femto fails with the takedown and Misahawa holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Misahawa lands with a short head shot on the inside. Femto takes a knee right on the jaw!
Femto has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Misahawa avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Femto is working for takedown but Misahawa is calmly controlling the position for now. Misahawa misses with a knee strike.

Femto has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Misahawa is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. A knee to the head by Misahawa.
Femto goes for a takedown attempt but Misahawa pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Femto is breathing heavily. Misahawa tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Femto was well out of range. Poor timing from Misahawa. Misahawa throws a right hand that Femto ducks under and follows up with a left that Femto also avoids with ease. Femto feints the counter takedown. Misahawa slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Femto looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Misahawa is fending him off so far but Femto persists. Nope, Misahawa circles away and we're back to standing. Misahawa seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance. Femto drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Misahawa is trying to get back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Misahawa throws Femto to one side and escapes! Femto is trying hard to land a takedown here. Misahawa sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Femto tries to score a power double leg takedown but Misahawa sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Femto somewhat. Femto misses with a takedown letting Misahawa counter with a right hand. Femto tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Misahawa swivels and escapes. Femto fails with a takedown attempt. Femto shoots in and drives through. Misahawa sprawls well. Misahawa lands a nice shot that snaps Femto's head back.

Femto with the counter takedown but Misahawa avoids it easily. Femto shoots in looking for a takedown. Misahawa tries to sprawl out of it but Femto keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Misahawa manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Misahawa looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Femto with a poor takedown and Misahawa counters with a stiff right hand. Misahawa stuffs the takedown attempt from Femto. Femto gets slowly back to his feet. Femto closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Misahawa is looking to escape. Misahawa taking some punishment here, with Femto in his half guard. Femto missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Femto stops Misahawa from getting back to his feet.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Femto thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Misahawa's head. Femto trying to work for an americana but Misahawa has managed to regain full guard.
Misahawa wants to get back to his feet but Femto is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Femto wants to control from the top but Misahawa keeps moving. Femto throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Femto stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Misahawa swivels though and keeps the full guard. Femto throws a big right hand that misses. Misahawa wants to stand up but Femto is controlling him. Femto throws a big right hand that misses. And that is the end of the round. Kenichi Misahawa dominated that second round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round! Femto avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Femto looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Misahawa is fending him off so far but Femto persists. Nope, Misahawa circles away and we're back to standing. Misahawa is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Femto. Misahawa stuffs the takedown attempt from Femto. Femto gets slowly back to his feet. Misahawa ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Femto manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Misahawa on his heels. He'll look to pass Misahawa's guard now, I'm sure. Femto throwing strikes but missing. Femto not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Misahawa is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

Griffith Femto has got the better of the ground game so far. Femto is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Misahawa defends well. Femto looking for a guillotine here but Misahawa defends easily.
Misahawa wanted to stand there but Femto had control of the position. Femto had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Misahawa defends it easily. Misahawa content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Femto is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Misahawa is aware though and is defending well. Misahawa would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Femto is looking for a triangle here but Misahawa uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Misahawa grinds an elbow into Femto's temple. Femto is looking to regain half guard here but Misahawa keeps moving and retains side control. Misahawa tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily. Femto has found himself in a tricky position here. He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it. Femto tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Misahawa presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!

Misahawa is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Femto is controlling him. Misahawa trying to control the position here. Misahawa wants to stand but Femto is controlling the position. Femto postures up and lands a big shot to Misahawa's brow. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Femto won't allow Misahawa to get back to his feet. Femto throwing strikes but missing.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Kenichi Misahawa. I think Misahawa has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
