Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Shu Fang Tzeng (ranked 578 p4p, 2592 weight class) and Jay Cartwright (ranked 37 p4p, 171 weight class). Tzeng kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Mantra Chant. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tzeng defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Cartwright.
Cartwright gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Tzeng counters with a shoot takedown. Cartwright fights it but they end up in guard.
Tzeng works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Cartwright is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Cartwright is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
