Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jonathan Archer (ranked 817 p4p, 1480 weight class) and Itchy Sinclair (ranked 118 p4p, 201 weight class). Archer comes to the cage accompanied by Wu Tang Clan - Method Man. Itchy Sinclair has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jonathan Archer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Itchy Sinclair!
The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Sosuke Kotani.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Archer moves into range and connects with a jab.

It looks like Itchy Sinclair has been cut.
A telegraphed right hand from Sinclair misses the target.

The fighters circle momentarily. Archer darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Sinclair ducks under a wild hook from Archer.

Archer looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Sinclair lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Archer connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Archer throws a body punch but Sinclair moves out of range.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Sinclair connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Archer's hands.
Sinclair connects with a good right hand that stumbles Archer. Archer circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Sinclair fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Sinclair throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Archer was covering up waiting for the punch and Sinclair finishes the takedown easily into guard.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Sinclair tries to free his leg and advance position but Archer is retaining full guard.
Sinclair wants to control from the top but Archer keeps moving.
Archer wants to stand but Sinclair is controlling the position.
Sinclair looking to sit in guard and control but Archer gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Archer got a little sloppy there for a moment and Sinclair has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Archer has managed to get both his arms back between Sinclair's legs - danger averted.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Archer won't allow Sinclair to sweep him here.

Sinclair working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Archer doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Archer manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Archer is looking to stand up but Sinclair won't let him.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Sinclair looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Sinclair seems keen to control Archer's posture.

Sinclair has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Archer is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Sinclair.
Sinclair is looking for a sweep.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Sinclair shoots in but no luck this time.

Sinclair shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Archer lands a right hook to the body.
Itchy Sinclair seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sinclair shoots in looking for a takedown but Archer manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Sinclair's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Jonathan Archer has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Itchy Sinclair.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The fight stays on the outside here - Sinclair looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Archer cracks Sinclair with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Sinclair moves in looking to clinch but Archer pushes him off.

Sinclair uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Archer.
Archer throws a leg kick but Sinclair sees it coming and moves out of range.
Archer misses with a wild body shot.
Archer darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Jonathan Archer is winning the standup battle so far.
Sinclair goes for a double leg but Archer avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Archer continues to drive forward.
Archer takes a swing at Sinclair's ribcage but misses.

Sinclair tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Archer paws at him with a jab and circles away.

A nice leg kick from Archer, right into the meat of the thigh.
Sinclair looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Archer is fending him off so far but Sinclair persists. Nope, Archer circles away and we're back to standing.

Archer throws the left hand but Sinclair avoids the punch easily.

Archer lands with an uppercut that bounces Sinclair off the cage and back into range.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Some bone on bone action there as Archer checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Itchy Sinclair is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Sinclair moves out of range of the strikes.
Sinclair tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Archer swivels and escapes.
Sinclair ducks right into an uppercut from Archer.
Sinclair throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Archer throws a hook to the side of Sinclair's head but Sinclair sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Sinclair shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Archer cracks Sinclair with an uppercut from hell and Sinclair crumples to the canvas, he's out! Oh no, he's recovered and he's grabbed one of Archer's legs and pulled him into guard. The ref thought about stopping it there but he's let it go - good reffing!

Sinclair is rocked!

That has opened up Itchy Sinclair's cut even more.
Sinclair wants to sweep but no luck.
Sinclair is still in real trouble! Can Archer finish him?

Sinclair looking for a guillotine here but Archer defends easily.

Archer stands up from Sinclair's guard - Archer perhaps looking for a knockout.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Sinclair gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Archer gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Sinclair is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:08 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jonathan Archer!
