Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Frederic Bastiat (ranked 2317 p4p, 23385 weight class) and Enamorado Bandito (ranked 297 p4p, 654 weight class). Frederic Bastiat has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 10 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Frederic Bastiat! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Enamorado Bandito! The judges for this bout are Ron Honeybunn, Skip Squint and Summer Carpenter.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bastiat shoots in but no luck this time. Bandito rushes Bastiat and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Good anti-grappling being displayed by Bandito as Bastiat tries to tie him up. Bandito has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Bastiat is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Bandito is working for takedown but Bastiat is calmly controlling the position for now. Bandito is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Bandito wants the takedown. Bastiat is fighting it off but Bandito persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Bastiat's guard against the cage. Bastiat wants to hit a sweep here but Bandito passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Bastiat there! Bastiat is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bastiat wants to control but Bandito is having none of it. Bastiat is desperately trying to improve his position but Bandito has a good base and remains in mount. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bastiat is working hard here to advance position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Bandito controlling his opponent. Bastiat stops Bandito from taking his back. Still, being mounted isn't any better. Bastiat is desperately trying to improve his position but Bandito has a good base and remains in mount. Bastiat's coaches at Soul Supremacy Rio have been working on his defensive grappling in preparation for this fight so let's see if he can get out of this tricky position. Bandito avoids the attempt from Bastiat to control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Bandito controlling from the full mount. Bastiat is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Bandito avoids the attempt from Bastiat to control. Bandito looking to control and managing it successfully. Bastiat wants to hold on but Bandito pushes him away. Bastiat tries to control Bandito's body but Bandito pushes him off. Bastiat squirms to his side and now Bandito has his back!

Well, with Bandito on his back, surely it's only a matter of time before Bastiat is tapping out... Can he escape the position? Bandito controlling the position well here. Bastiat rolled but Bandito kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.
Bastiat tries to escape but Bandito has the hooks in and won't let him break free. Bastiat might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Bandito has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Bastiat's body.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Bandito's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Bandito is looking for the choke from the back position but Bastiat is controlling his hands well. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Enamorado Bandito dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Bastiat fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Bandito manages to avoid it. Bandito closes the distance and clinches. A short left from Bastiat. Bandito stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
Bastiat lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Bandito. Bastiat struggles to land a body shot inside as Bandito controls his hands.
Bastiat lands a shot to the body. Bastiat tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Stalling in the clinch from Bastiat.
Bandito lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. Bastiat presses Bandito against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Bandito takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Bandito is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Bastiat can't fight it off and eventually Bandito manages to take the fight to the floor. Bastiat looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. Bastiat not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bastiat is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Bastiat holds on and takes a little breather. Bandito controls from within his opponent's guard. Let's hope that Bandito has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Bandito shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Bandito showed some decent athleticism there. Enamorado Bandito has got the better of the ground game so far. Bandito is looking to advance position but Bastiat won't allow it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bandito performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Bastiat is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Bandito is figuring out what he wants to do next. Bastiat wants to control but Bandito is keeping busy.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Bandito prevents Bastiat from improving his position. The referee is pacing around the two fighters, thinking about a standup. Bastiat is trying to control but can't.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Bastiat scores with a shot to the body.
Bandito drops his hands momentarily and Bastiat takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Bastiat jabs Bandito right on the nose. Bandito blinks but takes it well.
It looks like Enamorado Bandito has been cut. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Bastiat closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. The referee is keeping an eye on Bandito - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Bastiat. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Enamorado Bandito will probably get the nod - 10:9. The cut man is working on Enamorado Bandito's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round! Bandito slips a straight right by Bastiat. Bandito keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Bandito closes the distance and clinches up with Bastiat, looking for a takedown. Bandito pushes Bastiat against the cage but Bastiat circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Bandito misses with an uppercut
and Bastiat counters with a stiff right hand. Frederic Bastiat seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Bandito jabs at Bastiat's body. Bandito wants to clinch so Bastiat counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bandito has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Bastiat can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Bandito trying to control the position here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bastiat throws a big right hand that misses. Bastiat lands a couple of elbows. Bandito has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Bastiat is looking to pass into half guard but Bandito pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Bandito is in guard. Bastiat pulls Bandito in to control the position. Bandito tries to free his leg and advance position but Bastiat is retaining full guard. Bastiat is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Bandito won't allow Bastiat to sweep him here. Bandito's corner is telling him to maintain position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bastiat looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Bandito puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Bastiat controlling the leg, holding on to half guard. Bandito performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Bandito passes to full mount! Bastiat tries to hold on but Bandito pushes him away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bastiat is squirming around, avoiding Bandito's attempts to control the action. Bastiat is wriggling around trying to escape.
Bastiat tries to lock up and control but Bandito gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Bastiat is trying to escape the mount but Bandito keeps good control and instead manages to take Bastiat's back.
Bastiat trying to control the action but Bandito just sinks the hooks in. Bandito has the hooks in. Bastiat is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted. Bandito is trying to stick to Bastiat's back but Bastiat is turning into Bandito. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Bandito's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Bastiat. Bandito managing to control the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bandito not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Bandito pulls Bastiat in close to prevent any damage. Bastiat stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Bandito swivels though and keeps the full guard. Bastiat works over Bandito with some ground and pound from guard. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Bastiat accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Bandito controlling Bastiat's posture. Bastiat trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Frederic Bastiat. I think Bandito has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
