Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Robert Leahy (ranked 3253 p4p, 3156 weight class) and Brendan Moker (ranked 438 p4p, 426 weight class). Brendan Moker has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 11 - 0, fighting out of New York, Robert Leahy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Brendan Moker!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Robert Douchet and William Peck.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Leahy fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Moker avoids it really well and circles away.
Moker lands with a straight right. Leahy didn't see that one coming.
Moker misses with an uppercut. Leahy saw that one coming.
Moker looks to land a right hand but Leahy moved out of range.
Leahy fails with a takedown attempt.
Moker tests Leahy's chin there with a solid looking shot.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Leahy closes this distance looking for a takedown but Moker circles away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Robert Leahy. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Moker stuffs the takedown.
Moker scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Leahy doesn't seem bothered though.
Leahy shoots in looking for a takedown. Moker tries to sprawl out of it but Leahy keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Moker manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Leahy feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Leahy takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Leahy darts in looking for a takedown but Moker gets double underhooks and turns Leahy into the cage.

Leahy on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Leahy shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Moker unleashes a big counter combination but Leahy bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Moker misses with a wild combination.

Leahy walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Leahy looks for a takedown but Moker sprawls well.
Leahy takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Moker lands with a cross.
Moker misses with a body kick.
The fighters circling - Moker throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Leahy uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Moker.
Moker lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

Leahy manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Moker on his heels. He'll look to pass Moker's guard now, I'm sure.

Moker manages to escape and get back to his feet.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Moker loads up on a big right hand but Leahy slips the punch.
Moker connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Leahy fails to land the takedown.
It seemed like Moker was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

Moker leaves Leahy with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Moker dips to his left and cracks Leahy with an uppercut!
Robert Leahy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Leahy shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Moker defends it nicely.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Leahy is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Moker sees it coming and defends easily.

Still in half guard, Leahy seems content to control.
Moker tries to kick Leahy off but Leahy keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Leahy moves forwards but Moker connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Leahy swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Moker lands with a shot to the body.
Brendan Moker seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Leahy is rocked!
Leahy keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Moker.
Oh Leahy is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Leahy fails with the takedown

Leahy throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Moker's waist but Moker gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Leahy off to one side.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
A nice leg kick lands there from Moker.

Leahy sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.

Leahy looks up at the clock. Bad move! Moker lands a right hand from hell, dropping Leahy. Moker pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:53 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Brendan Moker!
After winning the bout, Brendan Moker thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
