Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Danilo Hooper (ranked 3329 p4p, 2227 weight class) and Tim Blood (ranked 452 p4p, 319 weight class). Tim Blood has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 11 - 0, fighting out of New York, Danilo Hooper!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tim Blood!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Johanna Lukiainen and Matti Vanhoillinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hooper closes the distance and pushes Blood back into the cage.
Blood throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Hooper blocks it with crossed arms.
The referee calls for Blood to work.
Hooper tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Blood's elbow.
Blood blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Hooper tries to land a knee to the head but misses.

Hooper gets control of Blood's arms and successfully pulls guard. Hooper will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Blood is stalling in the full guard.
Blood passes Hooper's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Blood is working for a kimura but Hooper is defending it quite comfortably.
Blood stops Hooper from getting back to his feet.

Blood wants to control but Hooper is keeping him busy.
Blood prevents Hooper from improving his position.
Blood seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Blood has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Blood wants to take his opponent's back but Hooper doesn't allow it.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Blood controlling from the full mount.
Blood wants to control the pace but Hooper is squirming around nicely.
Blood might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Hooper haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Hooper knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Blood on the ground.

Hooper tries to lock up and control but Blood gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Blood wants to control the pace but Hooper is squirming around nicely.
Blood throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Hooper because Blood loaded up on that one.

Blood is working for a guillotine from mount but Hooper frees his head quite easily.

Blood can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Hooper is looking to escape.
Hooper tries to hold on but Blood postures up.

Hooper defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Blood.
Hooper is in all sorts of trouble here.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Blood is dominating on the ground here - he's now on his opponent's back, looking to sink in the hooks. Hooper is in real trouble.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Hooper closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Hooper's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Hooper changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Danilo Hooper is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Blood tries to clinch but Hooper moves out of range.
Sloppy strikes from Hooper. Those never looked like landing.

Blood closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Blood breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Blood tries to clinch there but Hooper circles away.
Hooper connects with an inside leg kick.
Blood scores with a head kick.
Hooper avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
An attempted straight right counter from Hooper misses the target.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Hooper wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

It looks like Danilo Hooper has been cut.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Blood takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Hooper is rocked!
Blood lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Oh Hooper is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Blood will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Hooper up against the cage.

Hooper is trying to push Blood away but Blood has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Blood is working for takedown but Hooper is calmly controlling the position for now.

Danilo Hooper has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tim Blood.
Blood unloads a knee to the mid-section. Hooper lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.

Blood gets control of Hooper's arms and successfully pulls guard. Blood will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Blood is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Blood wants to work for an arm triangle but Hooper is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Blood is working for a submission of some sort.
Blood is breathing heavily.

Blood is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Hooper sees it coming and defends easily.
Hooper moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Blood advances to half guard.
Hooper keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount.

Blood passes into side control, despite Hooper's attempt to control the position.
Hooper seems to have got his legs back now.

Blood tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Blood has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Blood is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Hooper's shoulder. That is not cool.
Blood's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Hooper tries to improve position but can't.
Blood prevents Hooper from escaping the position.
Hooper tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Blood trying to control the action but Hooper is working from the bottom.
Blood misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Tim Blood showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

Sloppy strikes from Hooper. Those never looked like landing.
Hooper looks to land a combination but Blood avoids it well.
Blood flicks out a counter leg kick but Hooper steps away.
Blood throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Hooper throws a looping overhand right but Blood ducks down to avoid it.

Hooper fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Blood, pushing him back against the cage.
Blood connects with a nasty looking knee right to Hooper's face.

Hooper breaks from the clinch.
Blood fails in his attempt to clinch.
Blood misses with an attempted mid kick.
Hooper scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Blood doesn't seem bothered though.
Blood tries to close the distance and clinch up but Hooper swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Blood appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick.

Hooper uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

Blood lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Hooper circles away quickly and effectively.

Hooper's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
No joy there for Hooper, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Hooper throws a series of punches but Blood avoids them all with ease.

Blood connects with a nasty looking knee right to Hooper's face.
Hooper is trying to break the clinch but Blood is controlling him.
Blood using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Hooper has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Tim Blood seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far.
A frustrated look appears on Hooper's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Hooper lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Blood backwards.

Hooper misses with a knee strike.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Blood wants a takedown.
Blood tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Hooper avoids it.
Hooper misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Blood.
Hooper tries to circle away but Blood has him pinned against the cage.
Blood trying to control the position but instead, Hooper has worked for underhooks and has pushed Blood into the cage.

Hooper decides to pull guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Hooper is on top in guard.

Blood is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Our spies down at at Pound Town Athletics inform us that Blood has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off?

Hooper has Blood pulled in close to control his posture.
Blood postures up in Hooper's guard and throws a big left but Hooper blocks it.
Hooper is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Blood is controlling him.
Blood wants to pass the guard but Hooper is keeping the position.

Hooper controls Blood momentarily but Blood frees himself.

Hooper wants to control but Blood passes easily into half guard.

Tim Blood is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
