Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jonas Carvalho (ranked 5190 p4p, 4956 weight class) and Dredd Tatum (ranked 178 p4p, 173 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jonas Carvalho!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Dredd Tatum!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Sam Margolis and Chris Edwards.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice body punch from Tatum.
A combination from Carvalho does no damage.
Carvalho misses with a two punch combination.
Tatum throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Carvalho avoids the body shot from Tatum.
Carvalho bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Carvalho looks to land a combination but Tatum avoids it well.
Carvalho throws a left and a right that both miss
and Tatum counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Tatum lands the left hand.
Carvalho uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Tatum.

Carvalho misses with an uppercut
enabling Tatum to counter with a crisp jab.
Carvalho has been working on his boxing with his coaches at whitey's gym in the buildup to the fight.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Carvalho tries to bum rush Tatum with a series of wild strikes but Tatum uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Carvalho lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Tatum circles away quickly and effectively.
A punch combination from Carvalho misses.
Tatum uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Carvalho.
Tatum throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Carvalho sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Sloppy strikes from Carvalho. Those never looked like landing.

Tatum connects with a crisp jab.
Carvalho misses with a few strikes there.
No joy there for Carvalho, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Carvalho scores to the head and body with a nice combination!

Carvalho lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Tatum circles away quickly and effectively.
Tatum throws a jab when Carvalho was well out of range.
Carvalho takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Carvalho is breathing heavily.
Tatum scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Tatum cracks Carvalho on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Carvalho falls backwards against the cage. Tatum follows up with more strikes that drop Carvalho to his knees. Tatum keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Carvalho! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:39 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Dredd Tatum!
