The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Robert Twigg and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A big left from Bader misses.
Bader throws a hook to the side of Mediocre's head but Mediocre sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Bader misses with a lunging right hand
and Mediocre connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Mediocre ducks under a wild hook from Bader.
Bader misses with an uppercut
and Mediocre counters with a nice uppercut.
Bader misses with a looping right.
Bader looks to throw the jab but Mediocre is out of range.
Bader swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Mediocre wants to counter the offense by Bader and move into the clinch position.
Bader lands a glancing blow to the side of Mediocre's head.
Bader misses with a right hand
and Mediocre connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
We've been hearing reports that Bader has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Bader falls off balance throwing a combination
and Mediocre counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Mediocre.
Bader wants to break the clinch but can't.
Bader manages to break the clinch.
Mediocre throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

and Mediocre cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Bader lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Oh Bader is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Bader thows a leg kick but Mediocre checks it
and Mediocre counters with a big right hand! Oh Bader is in trouble here! Mediocre follows up with more strikes and that's it! The ref has stopped it!
