Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Michael Aalto (ranked 956 p4p, 951 weight class) and Kaoru Nagashima (ranked 105 p4p, 104 weight class). Kaoru Nagashima is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 12 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Michael Aalto! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 10 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kaoru Nagashima! The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Hirohito Nitta and Taro Takaoka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice sprawl there from Aalto as Nagashima shoots in. Nagashima shoots in looking for a takedown. Aalto tries to sprawl out of it but Nagashima keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Aalto manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Nagashima fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Aalto fires out a quick counter leg kick but Nagashima just manages to avoid it. Michael Aalto has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kaoru Nagashima. Nagashima fails with the takedown and Aalto counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Nagashima takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards. Aalto has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Aalto defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Nagashima. Nagashima fails with a takedown attempt.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nagashima uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Aalto. Nagashima shoots in for a takedown but Aalto shows good takedown defense. Aalto missing with a left hand there. Nagashima was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Aalto sets himself, and Nagashima steps forward looking for the clinch! Aalto avoids it this time. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Nagashima darts in looking for a takedown but Aalto gets double underhooks and turns Nagashima into the cage. Nagashima ducks right into an uppercut from Aalto. Nagashima has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Nagashima there as he acknowledges the shot. Aalto digs a good body shot into Nagashima's ribs.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nagashima closes the distance and clinches up with Aalto, looking for a takedown. Nagashima pushes Aalto against the cage but Aalto circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Aalto misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Nagashima.
Nagashima doesn't succeed with the takedown enabling Aalto to counter with a crisp jab. Nagashima shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Aalto but Aalto pushes him off and we're back to square one. Aalto appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick. Aalto throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Nagashima stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Michael Aalto is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Nagashima. Aalto throwing a counter right hand but Nagashima manages to avoid it. Aalto scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Nagashima shoots in but no luck this time. It looked like Aalto wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. A jab from Aalto misses. Aalto lands with a straight right. Nagashima didn't see that one coming. No luck with that takedown attempt from Nagashima.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Nagashima dives in and grabs Aalto's left leg, looking for a takedown. Aalto pushes down on Nagashima's head and hops out. Nagashima takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Nagashima is rocked! Nagashima has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight. Aalto lands a brutal uppercut that launches Nagashima off his feet! Nagashima tumbles to the floor, barely conscious - the referee jumps in to save him from a beating! Wow, what an ending!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:21 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Michael Aalto! During a confident post fight interview, Michael Aalto thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him. Kaoru Nagashima was interviewed post fight and said 'I meditated on the mountain but my understanding was off, Akirono has left me this day, I will return stronger and aligned'.
