Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Tyson Law (ranked 3062 p4p, 2287 weight class) and Jim Beam (ranked 416 p4p, 328 weight class). Law comes to the cage accompanied by Country Boy Can Survive. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

With a record of 7 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jim Beam!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Law shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Beam lands a nice hook to Law's body. Law takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

We've been hearing good reports from Law's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Beam is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Beam has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Law can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Beam lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Law moves out of range as Beam throws a body kick.
Law keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
A looping hook to the body misses from Beam. Law does a little dance to reset his feet.
Beam lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Beam throws a combination. Law tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Law shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Beam as he avoids it easily.
A nice side step and Beam releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
Beam comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

Beam has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

A very excited looking Jim Beam rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
