Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Nova Lankinen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 29 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bea Mason!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and Percy O'Donnell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lankinen dodges the punch combination from Mason.
Mason fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Mason closes the distance and clinches.
Lankinen working aggressively here.
A head punch on the inside from Lankinen fails to land.
Lankinen stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.
Lankinen has a couple of punches blocked by Mason.
Mason has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Lankinen avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lankinen lands a body shot in the clinch.
Lankinen swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Mason takes a shot to the head.
Lankinen misses with the head strike.
Lankinen stops a takedown attempt from Mason.
Nova Lankinen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bea Mason.

Lankinen's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Mason has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Mason avoids a punch combination nicely.

Lankinen jabbing away but nothing is landing.
As Lankinen backs off Mason throws a huge counter combo but Lankinen manages to avoid it all.
Lankinen connects with a body shot.
Lankinen slaps away a takedown attempt from Mason, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Lankinen tries to bum rush Mason with a series of wild strikes but Mason uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Lankinen lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

It looks like Bea Mason has been cut.
Lankinen lands the left hand.
Mason takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Lankinen misses with a combination

and Mason counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Mason stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Lankinen swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Mason trying to control the position from guard on top but Lankinen is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Mason postures up in Lankinen's guard and throws a big left but Lankinen blocks it.
Mason tries to free his leg and advance position but Lankinen is retaining full guard.

Mason wants to stand and escape but Lankinen is having none of it.
We've been hearing that Lankinen has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.

Mason is trying to improve his position.

Lankinen is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Lankinen connects with a couple of good shots from mount.

Mason tries to reverse the position but Lankinen maintains control.
Mason tries to hold on but Lankinen pushes him away.
Lankinen lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

Mason is rocked!

Lankinen postures up and lands a whopping elbow - oh that's hurt Mason bigstyle! Two more strikes land for Lankinen and the fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Nova Lankinen!
A very excited looking Nova Lankinen made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
