Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Red Jesus Karter (ranked 1744 p4p, 860 weight class) and Sirus Hall (ranked 254 p4p, 131 weight class). Hall is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Thin Lizzy - Cold Sweat. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Red Jesus Karter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sirus Hall!
The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Shigeki Fujiwara and Yukihiro Shimada.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hall lands a jab to the head.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Hall has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Hall shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Hall showed some decent athleticism there.

Hall is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Karter has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Karter!

Hall has his foot on Karter's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Karter works his way back into a safe position though.

Hall has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Karter can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Hall shoots for a takedown but Karter saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Karter lands a nice hook to Hall's body. Hall takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Hall tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.

We've been told by Karter's head coaches at Casa Steel that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

Sirus Hall is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Hall on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Karter on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Karter tries to get out of the position.

Hall thows a huge punch but Karter dodges it nicely.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Karter pushes Hall off looking to stand but Hall dives back in and keeps control.
Hall trying to control the action but Karter is working from the bottom.

Hall is working for a kimura from half guard. He's really concentrating on the hold and it's allowed Karter to slip a leg under and get back to full guard.
Hall trying to control the position from guard on top but Karter is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Karter wants to stand but Hall is controlling the position.
Hall tries to free his leg and advance position but Karter is retaining full guard.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
A looping hook to the body misses from Karter. Hall does a little dance to reset his feet.

It seemed like Hall was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Karter connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
