Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Azor Ahai (ranked 1295 p4p, 1757 weight class) and Abraham Barnes (ranked 193 p4p, 272 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 19 - 13 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Azor Ahai!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Abraham Barnes!
The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, Paul Tew and James Atkins.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barnes lands a nice leg kick that just misses Ahai's sensitive parts.
Barnes lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Ahai backs up against the cage.
Barnes stalks Ahai and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Ahai's face. Ahai staggers backwards, shaken.
Ahai throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Barnes's head.
Ahai clinches.
Barnes lands a takedown into guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Barnes postures up and lands a big shot to Ahai's brow.
Barnes wants to pass the guard but Ahai is keeping the position.
Barnes keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Ahai's head.
Barnes throws a strike but Ahai rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Barnes is on top in guard.
Ahai is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Ahai holds on and takes a little breather.

Ahai is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Barnes throws a strike but Ahai rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Barnes throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Ahai escapes and throws Barnes's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Barnes tries to bench press Ahai off him but Ahai keeps the position.
Barnes is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Ahai stands up out of the half guard.
Ahai looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Ahai lands a head kick!
Barnes throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Ahai tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Barnes was well out of range. Poor timing from Ahai.
Ahai takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Barnes lands a nice looking body shot.

Ahai takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Ahai misses with a jab, cross combination.
Ahai throws a shot from downtown. Barnes moves away and avoids it.
Ahai throws a head kick that looked like it stung.

Barnes throws a body punch but Ahai moves out of range.

and Ahai counters with a stiff right hand.
Ahai looks to land a left hand but Barnes moved out of range nicely.
Ahai throws a hook but Barnes avoids it easily.
Barnes takes one to the side of the head.
Barnes is rocked!
Ahai pushes Barnes up against the cage in a clinch.
Barnes is still on wobbly legs! Can Ahai finish him?
Ahai throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Barness head.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Ahai lands a big right hand that drops Barnes! The killer instinct kicks in and Ahai finishes his opponent with a series of strikes from mount. A dominating finish by Ahai!
