Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 23 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Nick Holey!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 7 - 0, fighting out of London, Uestus Johnston!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Chris Dean and Darius Henderson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Holey with a poor takedown
and Johnston counters with a one-two to the body.
Holey closes the distance but Johnston moves to the side
and Johnston counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Johnston moves out of range of the body kick.
Holey tries to clinch but Johnston moves out of range.
Johnston ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Holey darts in trying to clinch
and Johnston counters with a straight right hand.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Holey tries for a takedown but Johnston circles away easily
and Johnston counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Holey thinking.
Holey doesn't succeed with the takedown

Nick Holey seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

No joy there for Johnston, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Johnston pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Holey back to the cage. Johnston follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Johnston has worked on his takedown defense in the runup to this fight and it is paying off so far.

Johnston scores with an uppercut up the middle.

Johnston digs a good body shot into Holey's ribs.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Johnston scores with a hook to the body. Holey takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Holey could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Holey takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Holey fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Johnston is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Holey rather than just go for the knockout.

Uestus Johnston dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Johnston leaves Holey with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

A punch lands to the side of Holey 's head but he takes it in his stride.

Johnston is a very stocky fighter. Infact he's such a weird shape that he's almost like some sort of comedy character - it's hard to believe he's real.

Holey is fighting to break Johnston's control of his arms but Johnston is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Holey stands up from Johnston's guard - Holey perhaps looking for a knockout.
Holey's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Johnston connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Holey scrambles back to his feet.

And that's the end of the fight!
Uestus Johnston comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Johnston winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
