Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Fritz Berliner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pepe Rojas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rojas shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Rojas looking to secure an arm triangle but Berliner defends it well.
Berliner is working to get back to half guard.
Berliner is working hard here to advance position.
Rojas avoids the attempt from Berliner to control.
Rojas lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Berliner is looking to get to half guard.
Berliner has given up his back. Will we see Rojas going for some submissions?
Rojas is riding his opponent, not letting Berliner buck him off.
Berliner prevents Rojas from getting a body triangle.

Rojas is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Berliner is defending well though. Rojas let's go of the attempt for now.
Berliner is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.

I really don't envy Berliner right now.
Rojas doesn't have the hooks in and Berliner manages to turn into his guard.
Berliner postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Berliner is breathing heavily.
Berliner trying to control the position from guard on top but Rojas is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Rojas working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Berliner doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Berliner manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Berliner is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Rojas thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.

Rojas has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Berliner can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Rojas controls Berliner momentarily but Berliner frees himself.
Rojas looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Berliner will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Rojas is on top in guard.
Berliner is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Rojas works his way to full guard. Good work.

Berliner wants to control from the top but Rojas keeps moving.

Rojas is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Berliner is posturing up here but Rojas has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Berliner tries to roll out but it's too tight and Berliner has to tap! Slick submission there by Rojas!
