Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 1, fighting out of London, Brendan Lawson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bryce Helix!
The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Dean Styles and Eddie Farnsworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lawson doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Helix counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Lawson shoots and misses
and Helix counters with a thumping low kick.
Lawson has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Helix finds it's way round the side to connect with Lawson's head.
Helix avoids a punch combination nicely.
It seemed like Helix was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Lawson.
Helix was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Brendan Lawson. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Lawson takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Helix scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Lawson doesn't seem bothered though.
Helix cracks Lawson with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Lawson looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
A chopping leg kick lands by Helix.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Helix connects with a right hand. Lawson shakes it off.
It looks like Brendan Lawson has been cut.
Lawson shoots in looking for a takedown. Helix tries to sprawl out of it but Lawson keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Helix manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Lawson fails with an attempt to clinch.
Lawson drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Lawson is rocked!
Helix throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
Oh Lawson is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Lawson is breathing heavily.
Lawson with a lazy takedown attempt
and Helix makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Helix closes the distance and lands a brutal uppercut that knocks Lawson out! We're looking at the replay now - he was out before he hit the floor!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:32 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Bryce Helix!
